Early Mass Effect 3 Demo Analysis

IGN released an early Mass Effect 3 demo for Xbox 360 available after doing figuring out a mini puzzle. The puzzle only gives you a few chances to do it correctly or you get locked out so the few that succeeded are lucky because the page is down now since IGN put an article up about it. I am going to look at game play of one of the missions put up on YouTube and let you know what I think.
The game is started off by Shepard being called in and he doesn't know why. The commanders receive Intel from one of the units and it is not good. All they see is destruction and the unit being wiped out. Moments later a giant Reaper ship appears out of the sky and destroys the building and sends everyone flying. As Shepard gains consciousness he steps outside and sees the giant vehicle towering over the once serine city. The cover system still looks good and the aiming seems to be touched up a bit which is one of the problems of ME2 but a new addition I saw was the heavy melee.
When you press and hold B the omni tool transforms into a blade and you do a special attack with it. A nice touch is each class has a different heavy attack with the omni tool which just adds a good variety to the game. Shepard sees a little child in a ventilation shaft, looks away briefly and the child disappears so this raises questions to if the child was real or is it a vision created from Shepard's past. Them demo lets you do two missions and i don't want to give a lot away so if you'd like to see the rest here is the video.
